When Give Steel set out to implement a new ERP solution, their primary requirement was a standard system that could be deployed quickly and in phases.

Give Steel wanted a solution that could function as a standard system without the need for customization. An integrated solution was essential, as the company’s processes had become too complex for tasks such as work-in-progress calculations to be managed solely through Excel spreadsheets.

After selecting the ERP solution, Give Steel chose 9altitudes as their implementation partner, as they could deliver an accelerated implementation process. During the rollout, several business processes were reviewed and optimized, including the introduction of warehouse management.

Implementing it would provide a significant business advantage, so we placed great emphasis on that. The transformation of financial processes was also a key focus in this project.”

A step-by-step approach

Give Steel was very clear that the ERP project needed to be divided into manageable phases. They recognized that the biggest challenge in any ERP implementation is the organizational change it brings. Employees needed time to adapt to these changes, which is why the company chose not to implement everything at once.

As a result, Give Steel decided that certain systems would not be replaced by Dynamics 365 FO in the initial phase. Instead, they utilized Our D9A Kickstart for Integrations as an integration solution.

“We are not yet using all areas of Dynamics 365 FO but have instead chosen to build integrations with existing solutions through Our D9A Kickstart for Integrations. We have prioritized what is most business-critical first.”
